ABOUT MICHAEL

Michael Tippett is a multi-award-winning writer of short stories, flash fiction, and screenplays. His short story, Cherub, won the Members’ Prize and the People’s Choice Award in the Hunter Writer’s Centre 2015 Grieve Project. He was a finalist in the 2017 NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Challenge, winner of the 2018 NYC Midnight Short Story Challenge, and runner-up in the 2019 NYC Midnight Short Screenplay Challenge.

When not wearing his writing cap, Michael is an audio engineer with over twenty-five years in television, radio, and film. He also worked as a cinema projectionist before deciding he would much rather watch movies than watch people watch movies. Michael lives with his incredibly patient wife, two tireless boys, and their couch-hogging bulldog, Barkley.
