Michael is an audio engineer with over twenty years in television, radio, and film. He also worked briefly as a cinema projectionist before deciding he’d rather watch movies than watch people watch movies.

Michael enjoys making noise for money but has recently started writing words. His short story, Cherub, won the Hunter Writers Centre Members’ Prize and People’s Choice Award in the 2015 Grieve Project. He was also a top ten finalist in NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Challenge 2017 and winner of NYC Midnight Short Story Challenge 2018.

Michael is currently avoiding writing his first novel, although appears to be making progress despite himself.
